Mascoat Industrial DTI

Mascoat Industrial DTI is a high-technology thermal insulating coating with a water-based binder that contains ceramic microspheres with encapsulated air.
This innovative technology makes it extremely lightweight compared with traditional insulation. It can be applied to diverse surfaces and complex geometries—such as tanks, piping, valves, vessels, and steam lines—and adheres easily to common industrial substrates.

How Does It Prevent CUI and Other Issues?

Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is one of the major challenges in industrial maintenance, and Mascoat Industrial DTI is designed to combat it effectively. Once applied, the coating forms a protective layer that blocks moisture ingress, protecting the substrate and preventing corrosion.
Because it is an acrylic coating, maintenance and visual inspection are much simpler and more reliable, with no hidden components behind aluminum jacketing.

Beyond CUI, the product protects against other problems:

• Energy loss: the coating’s low thermal conductivity (0.0698 W/m·K) reduces heat loss and improves equipment efficiency.

• Contact burns: a 1.0 mm layer can protect personnel from burns on surfaces up to 135 °C.

• Condensation: by minimizing heat loss, the coating also acts as a powerful anti-condensation measure, maintaining the integrity of equipment and processes.

• Fast application and lasting results: Mascoat Industrial DTI can be applied quickly using airless spray equipment or cup-type spray guns.
