Flexmica Paper is a flexible mica-based thermoelectric insulation material recommended for protecting high-voltage coils in induction furnaces. Applied between the coil refractory and the crucible, it acts as a dielectric, thermal and mechanical barrier, reducing stresses caused by the thermal expansion of the crucible, protecting the high-voltage coil against damage caused by contact with molten metal in the event of cracks in the refractory, and helping prevent oversintering of the refractory lining.
